Bobby Kerr (Freedom) is a graduate of the Northeast Broadcasting School in Boston, MA. (1993) Recording Arts Program. He studied recording and mixing at Synchro Sound (The Cars old studio) on Newbury St,in Boston. There he learned tracking on a 2" Tape Analog machine since digital was just coming of age. He then went on to intern at Metropolis Recording Studios in Middleton, MA where he got a chance to work with Peter Wolf of J.Geils Band.
Back in the mid 1980's when he first started with multitrack recording, he only had the Tascam Porta One Cassette recorder and recorded local bands on the North Shore of Mass with minimal equipment and learned how to isolate and capture sound.
Bobby has been using Logic Pro as his main DAW since 2010 although he does sometimes use others such as Fender Studio (Formerly Studio One by Presonous) as well as Universal Audio Luna.
Other software bobby is familiar with but not limited to includes MPC (for beat creation and hip hop music) Logic Pro 12, Pro Tools,
Ableton Live, Waveform12, Ampify Studio, Modo Drums and too much to list.

Studying by "hands on" approach, we learned to track and mix at Boston's "Synchro Sound" a recording studio that was formerly owned by the rock group "The Cars" on Newbury St. I believe our console was a Midas back then, digital had not yet come about as we did have MCI 2" Tape Machines as well. MIDI was the rage and engineers were mastering to DAT machines or 1/4" analog tape.

Bobby was an intern at this medium-sized 24 track studio for a while and enjoyed working with Peter Wolf of the J Geils Band, Bobby even played harmonica with him on a few tunes.
